    Default Shuttle SN27P2 & Nvidia 8800GTS

    Hi,

Can anyone assist with the following query:

I need to check if this Shuttle (SN27P2) can accomodate the above card. Specs state that the 8800gts length is 275mm. Also 500w psu recommended.

Basically, can the shuttle handle this graphics card?

    TIA,

    Not a bad card

Do you need to build the system right now ? Why not wait and see if a newer smaller 8000 series card is released? Ati have a new range of cards out soon as well. These new cards will be Dx10 which will be backwards compatible but you cant go from dx 9 to dx 10

    nft99,

yes i think will just go ahead and get a system together now as I need it for both my home-office and trying out some games i've bought and kept on the backburner (i've been putting it off getting a new box for over a year! so budget will probably allow getting another dx10 card aswell whenever smaller ones are released later on).

What do you think of the spec below? Anything i should watch out for??

    Thanks,

Some good parts in that system but if was building a complete system would go intel core duo, faster than am2 especially in games.
