    Default Asus 27'' 3D vs Benq 24'' 2D (x3)

    Which would you buy?
The asus alone comes around £100-£150 more.

If you have the money - I would advise going for the larger screen space. But it also depends on the bezel.

Looks like I'm just going for 1 monitor. Probably not even 3D. Maybe high resolution.

    Something along these lines.

    -Confused.
There Asus is 3D, the other monitors are 2D. You need a 120Hz monitor for 3D. The Benq and the Dell are 60Hz.

Depends how badly you want 3D.

Really care about 3D or highly value the extra 3" - Asus.
Just want a nice high quality screen - Dell.
Just want a reasonable monitor and want to save money - BenQ.

To answer your specific question from the first post, personally I'd buy the Dell.

Well, I had a look and I found this: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Monit...roductId=40124.
Can't beat it for the price. Size wise, its huge. And its 1920x1200 Resolution.

Yup, but the dell is IPS. It depends on how much you care about colour reproduction really. If you photoshop or something a lot, you'll appreciate an IPS monitor. If gaming is what you'll spend most of the time doing and you don't sit right next to your monitor then yeah that huge HannSpree is great .

    Good to know.
By the way, this follows my £2,000+ build near June/July, so I guess many more monitors would be out by then, and that would be the right time to choose.
It will however, mostly be used for gaming. I will be sitting a fair amount away from the screen. Also, it will be great at 27"+, as then I can use it to watch movies in bed, and move my 37 Inch LG 720P into my dining room.
Thanks for all the help Andy.

You're welcome . And yeah there might well be a completely different set of products in 3 months, but there will likely be something 'like' each of those available.

Having moved from a single monitor to dual a few years ago (albeit 2 x 17") I could never go back to a single screen again.

I also think 3 screens are overrated unless you have some serious horsepower to game over all three.

Personally I'd get 2 screens... either
    a) 1 decent, large screen to game on, and a 2nd lower quality for browsing, watching iPlayer/films, etc while I'm gaming
    b) 2 identical screens so they look good next to eachother, making sure each is good enough for quality gaming (you'll only be gaming on 1 screen for the overwhelming majority, SupCom being an exception)

/my 2p to muddy the waters

I guess that's right. Either way, we see how it goes.

Well, as I am a fan of LFS (Live for Speed), I may consider getting Logitech G27, and I think a 3 Monitor setup will be pretty swift. Also, with GTX 680 in SLI, I think it's enough horsepower to run Battlefield 3 on Ultra in all .

You may want to look at that first, pretty sure 2GB will not be enough to run BF3 on ultra @ 5760x1080.

I made the same mistake when I first went for an eyefinity setup, 2 6870's didn't do the job! haha

3gb cards may well suit you better for 3-screen gaming.
