Ive just found out that Asrock have updated the BIOS for the P67 Extreme 6 to allow it to run IB 3770K ..complete with drivers...

Just installed my IB today, started yesturday. had some trouble getting it done. One being that my antech kuhler 620 wouldnt fit unless the radiator was upside down, I hope thats ok... Seems to be all fine now
is it true that you can boil water on a IB chip?

The odd thing is although when stressed they run hot, i touched my antec kuhler pump and rad and they were barely warm and had it not been making proper contact it would just shut down? so i dont know maybe its something do with the sensor placement inside the core aswell?

these heat jokes make me sad. Considering they run cooler at stock than SB and its only when you increase the volts past 1.35 I don't see the heat as an issue at all. I only installed mine last night and I've only got it running at 4.2 and haven't stressed it yet but that's not the point.

The top end temps has gone from 98c - 105c so realistically it looks like 80c is the max temps we should go to for 24/7Maybe the IB's are fine to run hotter than previous CPU's, and the mainstream just needs to accept that? Just making conversation, I haven't a clue tbh!
