I have a Baird 32" LCD 1080p TV with a VGA port. Would this be suitable as a monitor or am i better off getting an actual computer monitor.

if its native 1920x1080 connect it through hdmi
i use a 32" as i game and watch movies on it
i dont get much look in on the 50" in the lounge with the wife and her crap
It'll certainly work but connect via HDMI if you can. Worth giving it a try and if you don't like it, get a monitor later. Trying is free!
i7 3770K @ 4.1Ghz (to overclock more) ¦ Noctua NH-D14 Cooler ¦ Asus Sabertooth Z77 ¦ 16GB Corsair Vengeance LP @ 1600Mhz ¦ KFA2 670 OC 4GB ¦ 2 x 256GB & 1 x 64GB Crucial M4 SSD ¦ Corsair TX 850w ¦ Antec P182 ¦ W7 Professional 64 ¦ 27" Yamakasi Catleap 2560 x 1440 ¦ Asus Xonar DX ¦ Alesis M1 Active 520
Will it still look good then through HDMI.
it will be 1080p mate it will look fine
i use the vga on my 32tv to connect up tho because it looks sharper on text and gives a few more settings than hdmi (on my tv)
I'll probably still buy a monitor at some point so i can sit close to it.
mate i have a 32" tv AS a normal monitor
will never go back to farty small monitors
