    Default asus eee pc 900

Evening all, I was looking at the eee pc 900 for my girlfriend. It's currently on super special for £205. Link

I was wondering what processor it has, it just says intel on the page.
And I was also looking at getting an sd card for it for some extra storage space. Would this 16gb patriot one be ok?
Other than that does anyone have one and can you comment on how good it is?

    Cheers.

Hi Mate I had one of these a while back, only issue i found was it was a bt too small for me.

very good unit. CPU is the Intel Celeron M353 and the SD card would be fine with the unit as the asus supports sdhc.

the one you have linked is the linux model so would your girlfriend be ok using linux or are you gonna install xp?

only other thng i'd mention is get this with it.
    Quickcode: #33033

Defantly worth having 2gb running in it.

She said she'd be ok using linux, but if she doesn't like it then installing xp isn't a problem. I've never installed ram on a laptop before, is it easy enough to do?

Cheers for your reply tystar

yeah took me about 5mins to do.
just take the 1gb memory stick out and replace with the 2gb memory stick.

infact its easier than chainging the memory on a desktop.

also watch this if you want to see how easy it is. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2uMczeX5W3M

Linux appears to run a lot faster than XP. you only have to see how smooth the mouse runs in one of these to prove that. I think the battery life of 2.5 hours is not much though. Some Netbooks can now give 7.5 hours battery life but you will pay a bit more.
