    New psu time, although it could be a loose wire is it worth the risk, still under warrenty.

    Try listening to it while you turn off the pc, should be able to tell whether it's a cable hitting the fan by seeing if it slows down and stops when you turn it off.

    Sounds like the fan bearing to me.

    my ocz zx 1250w has a whine that changes to different pitches whilst under different loads.

    Get this sound half it and half it again and MAYBE half it again and that's what my PSU sound like. Half this sound and it's my old PC's PSU sound.

    Apparently even that means it's faulty.

    Have OCZ send you another. Personally I've had no problems with my 700W ModXStream after a year of use, so I guess it's just the luck of the draw with their products. No point in spending cash on a new PSU when you're entitled to a free replacement, especially if there's the possibility of squeezing an upgrade out of them.

    Edit: Oh, the thread's a week old...did you get it sorted OP?

    send it back to the retailer ask them to change for another brand

    I've had no problem with my OCZ PSUs although it's maybe worth changing to a Corsair, much more reputable brand.

    IDK I have sent a lot back to Aria this year already :/

    If they are willing to upgrade it for me ill pay 30-40 for one so ill have to email someone.
