    Default Running two gfx cards

    Hey guys,

I'm pretting new to the custom build pc scene and was wondering what the rules are on running dual gfx cards, like do they have to be exactly the same or can they be two different ?

I already own a gtx 560ti twin frozr II but wanted the same card but the hawk edition and was wondering if i could run both cards or if i had to get the same one as i have now.

    Thanks in advanced

As long as both cards are based on the same GPU it'll be fine. Any other 560ti will work in SLI.

yes as long as its the same chip, if the frequency's are different then i believe it will slow the fast one to the slow ones speed.

make sure its a 560TI and not just a 560, that wont work.

also nvidia is SLI so make sure the board has a SLI licence.

yes. as long as the spec doesn't change any time soon.

and what a hawk card? you will be limited by the slower one and even with noise the louder one will still be used.
