Somewhat flawed article. Who in the right mind would have a GTX590 or a 6990 and only run at 1080p?

Not really the same though. I think if you're dropping £600 on a card it would be expected you have a decent amount of pixels to push. Given the hardware at play here 1080p/1200p should have been the minimum resolution to test.
Edit: Eyefinity/Surround would be welcome too.

Well he did do the tests at 1080p, didn't he? Seems like a sensible choice since that's by far the most commonly used resolution, even by people with beefy graphics cards. Let's face it, if he'd gone for 1920x1200 there would have just been different people in the this thread crying "why use 1200p? nobody games at that res!".
I do.![]()

I meant in that tests should have been done at 1080, 1440, 1600 and so on.
If he doesn't have the equipment there to run it at those specs then fair enough, but i can't help but think it would have been more fulfilling given the hardware used if higher resolution tests were possible.
Nice review mate, but I still get graphical bugs in crossfire.

Why 8gb's of ram though???
8gig kits are cheap now and if your building a system with 590/6990 I dont think your going to put 4gig in.

OC3D used 12gb and crytek recommend 8gb im sure its just to make it look like there is a big leap from the DX9 lol
