    Default Ancelotti Gone

I'm not sure if he's been sacked or left of his own accord.

If he's been sacked then it really is a poor decision. Roman needs to learn that stability is one of the foundations for continuing success.

He was sacked. Rumour has it this has been on the cards since the defeat at Old Trafford...

I'll eat my hat if they don't try Guus Hiddink first.

Think they'll go for Andre Villa Boas. Probably the most exciting young manager in Europe.

I'd give it to Holloway though.

This attitude is why the silly rich clubs will never be what they want to be. Ancelotti has done a good job but it's not enough. Hell Jose was not enough. Who's career is going to be blacked next?

That job is like a poisoned chalice tbh, whoever gets it pretty much has to deliver the Champions League or Premiership title or be sacked.

I think they will go for either Gus Hiddink or Andre Villa Boas, would love to see Boas Villas in the Premiership as he's of the same ilk as Mourinho.

I like Ancelotti, but I was never 100% convinced by the side even when it was going OK. The biggest problem is I'm not sure another manager will be able to do any better given the squad and the complete reliance on the full backs for width.

Hiddink would be ideal, easily first choice, but he appears adamant that he will always honour his contracts (got to admire him for that) and he doesn't want to return to full time club management.

Abramovic is an idiot, as is anyone who takes that job. A double one season, something Chelsea have never done before, then out. Be interesting to see who comes in and what happens to Drogba/Torres

I think Drogba will leave. Possibly back to France or for one last pay day (e.g. States or Middle East).

Premier League will miss him if he does go. Great player and great guy off the pitch.

Chelsea have no depth even less so after last summer, there bench is so weak, thats why they started well then dropped off once they got a few injuries and tiredness as no one could step in.

That and then trying to lever in Torres somewhere, which probably upset Anelka & Drogba and slowed down the goals even more.

Chelsea have no depth are you mental? Just look at some of the players they have out on loan, or the first team for that matter:

    1 Petr Cech

    2 Branislav Ivanovic

    3 Ashley Cole

    4 David Luiz

    5 Michael Essien

    7 Ramires

    8 Frank Lampard

    9 Fernando Torres

    10 Yossi Benayoun

    11 Didier Drogba

    12 Mikel

    15 Florent Malouda

    17 Jose Bosingwa

    18 Yury Zhirkov

    19 Paulo Ferreira

    21 Salomon Kalou

    22 Ross Turnbull

    23 Daniel Sturridge

    26 John Terry

    33 Alex

    38 Patrick van Aanholt

    39 Nicolas Anelka

    40 Henrique Hilario

    43 Jeffrey Bruma

    44 Gael Kakuta

    45 Fabio Borini

    46 Josh McEachran

They have minimum 2 quality players for pretty much every position on the pitch bar goal. I am not saying they are perfect by any stretch but it is not because of a lack of depth in the squad. Both before and after the serious wheels falling off moment in the middle of the season they have been the best performing side in the premier league. That is despite upsetting the apple cart with an under performing striker (again).

A few too many of the 1st options are past their best and they had a run of poor form and injurys that cost them a campaign. The fact that they are blaming the manager and have destablised the club yet again is good news for the rest of us.
