LED tv's at that price are generally based on standard LCD models from the same company to keep costs down, so a cheap LCD panel will get you cheap picture quality, motion blur etc, that particular model has only 50hz refresh, id be looking at 100+

    Thanks anyway

As for the Sony, cant find a cheap one yet and teh reviews arent brilliant so far, but ill keep trawling.

Looks good to me, though it's refresh rate isn't that high. Though i think you'll struggle to find a 120Hz for 300 pounds.

If I was buying a new TV right now, I'd go for the LG at that price tbh.
my tv right now is 2.5 years old and it was a decent model when it came out. the motion clarity is fine imo, I think some manufactures r to blame for people worrying about motion blur. In my experience, it isnt as big a problem as the advertising makes it

Thats a good point really, my old Bravia was 50hz and that was fine. Half tempted to buy another of these for myself, while its this price.

My grandfather had a Sony 40W5500 and its an awesome tv!
While it undoubtedly handles HD and motion clarity better than most tv's, u have to wonder is it really worth the extra cash wen other tv's like this LG r good enough.
Wen I look for a tv in future, it'll b a matter of find the cheapest decent brand that has the spec I want, read a few reviews and buy. Most new tv's r fine for their purpose, and will b until we have another breakthrough in viewing methods, or 3d takes off

If I had the money I would get the LG 32-LD490.

Full HD with Freeview HD built in and web access! all for under £300

Broadsword bought one if you want to ask an owner!

I am not losing weight! I'm getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again!
