    Default Im after a NAS...

    Hi guys

The server is going on ebay, Not what i wanted at all.

I think what i was after was a NAS. Ive been looking at loads of them and they are just what i want....But i cant find one that fits all my needs!

    I want...
    4 hotswap bays.
    Raid 0/1/5
    USB
    BT Download

The Thecus N4100+ fits all the bills but ive read that it has REALLY bad write performance. So bad that people are taking them back. The CPU is not fast enough apperently.

Then came to the Synology CS407. It gets great reviews and looks great! But it doesnt have hotswap or USB on the front.

That seems to be the only ones out there with that kind of spec and 4 disks. It then goes up to 5 disks and like £500!!!
Im looking to spend £300 max!

Does anyone know of one im missing? Ive been looking for ages and havnt found one that fits my spec

    Mat:sad:

I have found a 5 bay Thecus for £430 ish inc vat,

Shame you have to have 5 bays, thermaltake do a nice 4 bay one

The thecus 5 bay also has an esata port to add extra drives, does the 4 bay?

5 bay is fine. But the price puts me off!
The 4 bay one doesnt have Esata so its good..But still look at that price!

Ive seen the thermal take one. Looks ok but there doesnt seem much support for it:sad:

The terra station you can easily take the disks in and out. We have a few of them at work and thats what we do.

It's a little over your price at nearly £400 but there is a review of the Qnap TS409 Pro
