I have no idea on that one... I have fed it back and will get back to you with any updates. Out of interest which hard drive were you attempting to buy?

i would guess its the insurance for the item as normal postage only covers items worth less than £30.

    just a guess.

Even the dreaded ****is as cheap as £5.95.

So... just out of curiousity... why the inordinately high postage prices?
i know on that the price should only be approx £6.95+vat according to their site.

How much difference is the total amount though? does it work out cheaper with aria in total though. you'll find it probably is.

Same price as Scan with free shipping but that's not the point... the Samsung 1TB is on special offer, it's not the normal price. Aria is not cheaper than Scan on a day-to-day basis, especially with Scans free shipping.

At the moment if I was to buy the hard drive from Aria online with the postage it would be £100.72. If I was to buy it at **** (No mention of competitors please) it would be £106.31.

I can not see any free shipping at **** for normal customers.

Ok then but then the difference would be about 0.20p... and we're better than them anyway

Of course you can't see it, you're not a Hexus or Avforums member signed up for free shipping. And I already said the current Aria price for the HD does not reflect standard pricing as it is an offer... and i'm referring to your postage prices in general.

Ahh and I see the **** "omg don't mention competitors so we can pretend they don't exist even though everyone knows who they are anyway" rule extends even to here... interesting how you've removed 3/4 of my original post as "not correct" when it blatantly was. Sigh.

I can guess the path this is taking now from your responses and moderating so i'll just leave you to it and shop elsewhere. Take it easy guys.

How about running a similar offer here? Free postage to forum members?

Would probably need a minimum length of membership/post count!
I am not losing weight! I'm getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again!

I really don't understand why you are making such a big fuss about this. If you're not happy then don't order it. Time and time again Aria has amazing prices on their products and IMO we can't really grumnle when they ask for a bit more for delivery.

@ wonderlust, that would be great.

That is why i tend to only buy in bulk (well, a few things at once)

And good idea WonderLust, Scan run it so that the avforums / hexus (maybe another forum, bit-tech iirc) need 25posts that aren't spam to gain free delivery forever unless they abuse it
