    Default new gfx card

    i think i need a new one
my gfx overheats and reboot - well i think thats why my pc reboots

i have three in my eye4
    7300GS
    X1600Pro
    X1300
    X700

AGP or PCIe doesnt matter £50 limit, which does have to be include delivery...and as much loyalty points as poss!

    might get a PCIe...cheaper ops:
i might be able to get up to £75 quid..

and quick question, since my regular RAM support DDR1, (ddr400)...and the gfx is DDR2...would it still support it?

    cheers

7300gt i have one of these cards and it is a little belter, but PLEASE make sure you get the DDR3 version as it is by far the best of the 7300gt's and you can pick them up for around £65. I would post a linky but that might get me banned

It'll be fine, the memory type on the graphics card doesn't need to be the same as you have on your motherboard

Seriously mate, the 7300gt 256mb ddr3 is the mutts nutts for around £65. It will BLOW the 7300gs out of the water so to speak for an extra £20 or so you would be stupid to overlook it.

Look here are some results from review sites (sorry Lucy if this breaks any rules i would beat some sense into this chap with a haddock but i don't know where he lives )

    another

The 7300gt ddr3's are beating 7600gs's imagine what the would do to a 7300gs??

Is my point getting through yet??

Aria is a great online retailer and i don't like suggesting people go elsewhere but, unfortunately, they don't stock everything

Sorry to hear that mate, but it's only £20ish more can you not stretch to that?? Go without beer for a week or 2 it will be worth it i guarentee (and the numbers in the above linkies prove it too).

Seriously though mate if there is any way you can find the extra £££ needed to go for the ddr3 gt i can't recommend it enough it is THE buget(ish) card to go for.

They come with dvi to vga convertors mate so if the one you order has twin dvi outputs you just plug the convertor in and roberts your mothers brother you can use it on a normal monitor input.

    Thats 256mb matey
