    They throttle on Virgin, but only if you download excessively during peak times.

    I am on sky and use the mule, no throttling, when I occasionally get a full DVD (4.3Gb) I get between 600 and 1500Kbps.

    Kbps or KBps? I get 2MBps, about 16Mbps.

    sorry KB/s router is sync'd to the exchange at 15363kbps

    I get throttled after 5GB i think it was

    This is not bittorrent communications but....

    I receive max of 2.4MB/s (19.2mbps) when using torrents and speed is not limited.

    I am on virgin's lowest internet 2mb afaik, and can't upgrade until next September due to a stupid bundle deal

    Ring them. They might be able to adjust the bundle deal changing just the broadband speed.

    We tried cancelling film and sport and upgrading the internet costing like £2 more a month and they refused

    They are to the end of the road then it's back to normal. Luckily I'm not too far from the corner of my road and from the exchange either, so when i upgrade I should get decent speeds

    Yea fiberwire is optical, get a nice stable 1Gbit connection here
