    Question O2 Broadband...wireless connection

    Hi there,

I am wondering if someone could help me with some connection problems I am having. I am not the best with computers so if I'm not making sense, please let me know. The story goes...

I recently cancelled my broadband with Virgin Media and chanaged to O2 Broadband. They have connected my today and I have setup the connection to my main PC. The internet is working great on the main PC. However I am also trying to connect wirelessly to my laptop, I have enetered the network key and it's saying its connected but when I try visiting any webpage it says it can't connect. My laptop used to connect to the internet with no problems when I was with Virgin Media. When I had Virgin Media I had to buy my own wireless router and connect through that, but I was told with O2 Broadband I just use their box to connect to a wireless network, so i've unplugged the Belkin router.

I contacted O2 about this and they said to delete my internet history but that hasn't solved the problem.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks alot!
    Sarah

Could be a number of things really, first thing is to check that your TCPIP settings are correct...

    On your laptop goto
Control Panel->Network Connections-> Right click your Wireless connection and select properties from the menu.

Select as above and click properties

Make sure your settings look like this

    What router are you using?
