Good Choice Of Motherboard, also have a look at the Asus boards.

Would prefere a Seagate drive myself, alot more reliable.

Graphics card will do everything you will need it for.

OK memory, might be worth looking at a 2GB Set instead though.

    Is Lightscribe essential?

Nice power supply (If you planning on upgrading this sytem when its comes to needing a higher spec system look at a more powerful PSU).

    Windows XP?

Thanks alot everyone. I havnt purchased anything apart from the processor so far, so i will change the hard drive to either a seagate or a western digital, i will also take a look at cosairs value select 2gb ram. As for the fans i believe it has 2X 120mm fans. Hopefully this will be enough.

    Go for a Seagate 7200.10

Great Performance, quiet and reliable and with a 5yr warranty.

WD Raptor if you want ultimate speed, don't mind the noise and can live with a fairly high death rate.

    Cheers

That system looks very nice indeed. But I totally agree about the HDD. I would suggest Seagate purely because of the superb quality and better acoustics on most models. You could try Western Digital. I hear a lot of complaints regarding Maxtor, Samsung, Fujitsu etc, so don't bother with those.

You may want to try NEC's ND-4571 LabelFlash DVD-RW. I don't see much of anything Samsung these days regarding computers, so maybe another brand would be better?

You RAM is fine for the moment. I wouldn't put any extra into that until you really need to, in my opinion.

    Good Luck jmsncniff!

Hmm. I'm not sure about that.

I'm getting the 80GB version because it is quieter than the 120GB+ models in the SATA2 range. (and the cheapest) Hehe, but I wouldn't think the others would be that much more audible. Put it this way, it is going to be quieter than other brands!
