Default The RAM has confused me :(

Now, I'm pretty sure that this will all work fine, but I'd like to know whether or not this RAM would work with this MoBo. I used to be able to pick parts at random and have them work, but alas, too long away from the internet (I actually thought about buying a pre-built PC because it had a whole 1024MB RAM! ...what an idiot I felt when I remembered it was just 1GB...) and my knowledge of computers has became outdated and otherwise ****.

Also, if it isn't a problem with you guys and gals, could you explain to me what the whole PC2-5300 thing means? I'm assuming it's just the RAMs model number, but I don't trust my intuition.

Yes that ram should work with that mobo.

The pc2 bit just means its ddr2 the 5300 bit is the speed of the memory, 5300 = 667mhz, 6400 = 800mhz etc etc higher the number the faster, i think it equates to theoretical memory bandwidth, or something like that.
