    Default blue tinge

why does my second monitor have a blue tinge even though everything is the same?

tested the monitor on its own and its cool.

Try the colour settings for that monitor under display properties. You should be able to set individual settings for each monitor, i can anyway on my nvidia setup and i don't see why ati would be different.

could be a driver issue, make sure the correct drivers are installed, and the cable is plugged in properly

Or a dodgy cable come to think of it?

Or have you tried adjusting the colour temperature on your actual monitor? It can be an easy setting to miss, and may not be noticable unless you have something to a/b it with..
