Default How long for Bing to index?

    Hi all,

I added my site to Bing a few days ago but it's still not showing up. I added to google and it's showing fine. How often does Bing pick sites up? I've added a site map and everything else looks good to me.

    TIA

It can take as said above 2 weeks or more. It is proberbly worth also submitting your site to google and yahoo aswell the more the better.

A quick and dirty way to speed it up is to create a throwaway account on a few bookmarking sites then submit your site to them. Reddit being an easy one. Search engine spiders tend to crawl it regularly and it doesn't implement nofollow tags. Not that google listens to them anyways

You have used Bing submission page?

Its gonna take a while .

Google is a lot faster to index, especially with the new changes today.

You indexing a business website? PM me if you want some tips

    Bright sky website?

Are you expecting people to just search for your brand name? If not the title tag needs some keywords in it while also being short.

No Keywords in your meta tags, no descriptions either.

    Not indexed in google

1.html 2.html etc isn't the best for engines. Try get a keyword in like virus-removal.html. And do the same for the index.html then use a .htaccess file to tell visitors/engines what the index is called. Helps for engines and also helps people who see your site in a search know what the page is about. Increases click through rate too .

If you want to spend some on your site set up a PO box at your local post office then set up a local business account which will help you have a presence across all search verticals. So when people search for "'your service' in 'your town'" they are more likely to get a map with you and other service providers in that area.

If you have time you could do a lot more content on there which would help a LOT. If you don't have much time I would advise on having more content on the home page. A page for each service would be ideal with a description about it. But time consuming.

    sitemap.xml not sitemap.txt .

Why did you choose to do the contact page in iFrames?

Thats about it for a really quick check

It's just done through a site builder on my hosting company. I'm going to build myself a proper site soon, it was just to get a presence online as soon as possible.

    Thanks for the hints
