Very nice mac, you've really brought out the colours in those! What camera did you use to take them?

    Thanks for the comments chaps

Umar my camera is an EOS1000D and i used my 55-250mm lense on the top 2, probably about a metre away from them and the 18-55mm kit lense on the bottom one but much closer.

That explains the quality, but the person behind the lens is what makes these shots great.

That's really good! they look great even without any PP. I was looking at that camera, what do you make of it?

As a starter DSLR i can't fault it, takes decent pictures when the conditions allow, its not fantastic in low light but a better lense might help there (F1.8 50mm for example which can be had for les than £100 brand new). For the money i think its well worth it.

    Hi Mac, nice pictures

I have a 50mm 1.8 II, the "nifty fifty" as it is known. They are about £90 now. Very good lens for the price

For low light, have you tried upping the ISO? A lot of new cameras have low noise for stupidly high ISO's that were never available in its equivalent ASA in film.

You never know, I could be persuaded to lend you the nifty fifty if you wanted to try it out. I live in Northants

Yeah i tried 1600iso at a mates gig but it was still not enough for a "non blurred due to slow shutter speed" picture.

Thanks for that i might just take you up on that one day where abouts are you roughly? I'm not far from the bedfordshire border about 5-10min from santapod.

    Leicestershire border by the A14

I think my ISO can go to 6400 but I have only used up to 3200 so far.
