Can you elaborate on what you mean as currently you make no sense. Runs the same in what way, price, performance, amps ????

has i have been told: with my current system: (main parts)

1 x ATI Radeon 5850 (No overclock and now future upgrade)
    1 x Intel i3 ( which will be overclocked around 4000Mhz)
    1 x HDD
    1 x Sata Optical DVD-RW/DVD+RW

Everyone has been telling me to either get a "ocz 600w or a vx450w"

    why get a corsair PSU which is 450w or a 600w ocz...what i don't understand is they are two different wattages..one 450 and the other 600 why haven't they recommended a ocz 450w or a corsair 600w??

For the price of a HX450 you could get a VX550 (Corsair). Personally I would pick Corsair over OCZ.

HX= Modular. This means the PSU lets you unplug and plug cables into it that you need rather than having loads of excess cables dangling around.

From what I've heard and read, the Corsair has cleaner and more truer power than most PSU's, it's more "efficient" and the rails are much better too.

Think of it like a car engine, not all 1.6l car engines are the same even though they are the SAME sized engine.

RDRUNR, your analogy to the car engine is decent enough, but saying that Corsair has a cleaner supply and more efficient than other brands is very ignorant.

When considering buying a PSU, regardless of brand, check the reviews for ripple graphs and efficiency testing. Only then can you say whether a particular PSU is better than another.

I've always used http://www.jonnyguru.com/ as a good PSU review site when purchasing a new PSU.
