    Default graphics card HELP

    recently built my new system and everythings working fine, but i have to keep pressing the reset button to get my monitor to come on when first starting up and then it only works after atleast one message about the signal being out of range, try'd everything i can think of, have messed about with bios updated the bios kicked the cat. instaled new drivers blamed the girlfriend. oh and the cards a powercolor x1600 pro 512mb

    I have the sapphire version, AGP. I have troubles with the power connector being very sensitive to movement, it hates any kind of knocks. I dunno exactly what to suggest, can i have a picture of this card?/system? As for the monitor, is it just slow to wake anyway? or do you get some kind of vga failed test spoken message? It would appear to be the card to me, not any bios issues.

    Am working on a picture of the system, but the monitor worked fine on my last pc which ive given to her parents.

    been thinkin about that one sleepy might nick back my old psu this one is 450w and came in the tower old one is 600w, just got to seek it out without being seen by the wicked witch (in law)

    A generic 600w is terrible and will blow up most pcs sooner or later, get a proper branded one and save the hassle of dangerous parts like that.

    Well, the old 600W one might get you up and running properly. At least it will do until you could afford a new one like an Enermax or Hiper etc.

    In any case, it would depend upon who the manufacturer is of the 600W, it may work fine.

    think the old one is a ez cool or something like that i know it wasnt to expesive will try it out tomorrow
