    we had a zoom thread, so i thought i would start a Macro thread which is what i like to do

    here is one to start off, a macro of a daisy riped in half from the side

    Main PC -Shuttle SN78SH7, Phenom II x2 550 BE, 4gb DDR2, 360gb Spinpoint, Geforce 8800 GT 512
    Spare - Shuttle SN45G2, Athlon XP 2800+ 2gb DDR, 250gb, Geforce 6200 128
    Netbook - ASUS EEEPC 900a 2gb ram, 8gb SSD

    Woodpidgeon, Fantastic shots! Wouldn't have thought ANY were on a phone. What sort of phone Sony/Ericson?

    the quality in these pictures is superb much these cameras cost,,,,more than i can afford probably

    Thanks Numbers 2 and 3 were on a phone, a Sony Ericsson Satio which I actually just sold for £175. Fantastic camera, terrible phone, I've got a Dell Streak now.

    You can take decent macro shots with a reliatively cheap camera, certainly sub £200

    well my camera is shocking the pictures are no were near the quality of yours,mines are always grainy crap,, maybe my new phone be better

    It was for a project based on reflections. I did loads of a similar thing. They're acupuncture balls, and I had to include portraiture some how. So it stuck a wonderful model there too.
