no matey, im not really the handy type, hence why i had the rig built by aria. grrr.cheers dude
edit:just been looking the window, have to admit the cables arent quite as tidy as i thought they would be.
Check all the cables and make sure nothing has come loose - it could just be the power button cable or something worked itself free.
If its not that, Im not sure that it would be a great idea to do it yourself. If the power supply doesnt come on when the power button is pushed and all the cables are in place, then its likely to be the PSU.
Just for information..
You can power up a PSU without it being attached to the motherboard by shorting the green wire (pin 14 I think) and any black wire. This will make the PSU switch itself on, but its only really as a last resort to test it as alot of PSUs require a load to function safely. Once its on, You could then use a voltmeter etc to test the output on the molex connectors. Pin1 + Pin 2or3 for 12v and pin4 + Pin 2or3 for 5v.
But Id phone aria waaay before any of that!!
have to admit, have had a bad feeling about this pc since i ordered it. like bad vibes? seems like everything that can go wrong, is going wrong. ugh. so down. was really looking forward to getting the pc. now all i want to do is kick it.......and kick it some more.
oh well, now to see about getting it replaced or refunded, whichever is easiest.
[quote:92ecd052f1=\"ÈL ® ö B ì Ñ\"]I'd rather spend £60 on a decent PSU then mess about with electricity like that [/quote:92ecd052f1] Its not that hard.. but it really is a last resort!
Have you got another fuse for the power cable could something as simple as that.
