The whole day makes no difference to me and my beloved. I took what I like to be a wise move and told her that I didn't do all that stuff when we got together. My thoughts being that we can do lovely things for each other all year round, rather than waiting for a commercially ordained day when you need to buy expensive tat. Sounds moralistic, but the upshot is that I never have to worry about Valentines.
