Angry This is not the way to package CPUs

I just took delivery of my i5 750 ordered on Wednesdays super special for forum members. It looks like it's been used as a football:

I am not at all impressed, in fact I am pretty damn angry. It's staggering that an item like this would be sent in a soft plastic bag with no regard for protection during transit, it's a basic requirement of a mail order service. It just screams "we're gonna cut corners, penny pinch on every aspect of the service and we don't care about customer satisfaction."

It's all very well offering a the best possible price, but items in this condition are not a bargain.

Sounds like a very dangerous one off, no doubt someone is getting their legs cut off as punishment.

Hi I am sorry to hear of the issues with the order. The packaging issue has now been raised with the warehouse manager. Please can you confirm if the box contents are damaged in anyway ?.

I will do if you are happy for me to split the factory seal on the box?

However I was going to to leave it alone as I will definitely will be returning this for either a refund or replacement - I like to keep packaging neat & intact so that I can sell items on easily when I upgrade, and to ensure that I don't run into any manufacturer RMA issues later on if they deem an item has been mistreated.

Hi, If your planning to return the item there is not much point in opening the box.

Alternatively if you are planning to keep it then please open it and confirm if there is damage, it is possible that the heatsink may be damaged if that is the case we could arrange to simply send out a replacement heatsink.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed.

    Default always well packaged

It is sad to see your goods were less than perfectly packaged there I must say all my orders were delivered packaged so well you could play baseball with them and not daage the goods inside. (please dont take me up on the idea though just an observation not a suggestion )

Chris, I sent you a PM earlier about returning this for a replacement - I have put in an RMA request just now.

    Unfortunately not.

This is how I received mine.

I notice its only those who ordered their i5 on the day the special offer was on, Wed 10th Feb I think? Aria need to look into who was packaging that day, for those items and definately do something about it. Thankfully this cpu works fine though and I am happy to keep it but it was quite worrying seeing the state it arrived in.
