You know if you have a hardware firewall there really isn't any need for a software one too

I had a software firewall running on top of a hardware firewall for over a year, and not once did the software firewall detect anything, not once, because the hardware firewall took care of everything.

I have hardware and software firewalls..the hardware stops incoming attacks and software stops any program trying to get out

    Cheers guys for ya help,

As i speak my small network is great, (at the moment)
And i do agree with ÈL ® ö B ì Ñ with Norton being a resource hog, i used to use Norton Internet Security and i was using something like 360MB of RAM with my AVG free anti virus software.

But now i have 1GB of RAM with Zone Alarm and AVG free i on, i only use 187MB of RAM with Sky broadband,

    All in all, it's great

    Cheers guys for your help

I have had sky for about a month and unitl last week it was fine, until now that is, my speed had gone from 1MB to about 350Kbps, i have tryed almost everything reboot the router changed the filters changed the cables, i have e-mailed sky and they said to see if any changes happen in the next couple of weeks,
I have however asked a freind, and he said to change the origonal BT faceplate to one of these http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop...ProductID=3306

( I searched aria for it but could't find one, so hopfully i won't be in bad books)

    Default enough is enough

I have had enough with sky, i have phoned them about it nearly every day about the speed of my broadband, they said il have to wait until they transfer me over to skys mid package to see if their are any changes.
Well if there arn't then il have to start looking for another ISP.

would cable be any better? as virgin media looks good at the moment.

    regards
    Dan
