Perhaps you could add a simple definition as to what each thing is too?

    AGP - Accelerated Graphics Port
An old standard for connecting graphics cards to the motherboard.

BIOS - basic input output system
    Your motherboards firmware.

BSOD - Blue Screen of Death
Appears when your Windows computer crashes.

    CPU - Central Processing Unit
The component within your computer in which software instructions are executed.

    CMOS - Battery on motherboard
    DOA - Dead on Arrival
    eSATA - external SATA
    See SATA.

    EV - Extra Value

    FSB - Front side bus
This is the main communication route between your CPU and your Northbridge chipset.

GPU - Graphics Processing Unit (G card)
A graphics cards 'CPU', except designed to just compute calculations. Often used to refer to Graphics Cards too.

    GUI - Graphical User Interface
Pretty much what you see on screen... Before GUIs you would only see text on a screen - like command prompt.

Gfx - Graphics or Graphics card
    HDD - Hard disk drive
    The main 'storage' device i
    nside your computer.

    HD - High definition
HTPC - Home Theatre PC (Media center)

    IDE - Integrated Drive Electronics
An old, but common, communication standard between external storage and your computer - for CD/DVD drives and Hard drives. Being replaced by SATA.

    LLU - Local Loop Unbundling

    MOBO - Motherboard
The component of your PC that links all the other components together, and determines how those components talk with one another.

    OC - Overclock
The process of raising the clock speed of a CPU/GPU above it's factory clock.

    OS - Operating System
The piece of software on which every other piece of software runs. Eg. Microsoft Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, Debian), OSX.

    PCI - Peripheral component interconnect
An expansion port standard. Becoming replaced with PCIe.

PCI-E - Peripheral Component Interconnect Express
The newer expansion port standard. Much faster than PCI and AGP.

PPU - Physics Processing Unit (Physics card)
    PSU - Power Supply Unit
The component in a PC that powers everything else.

RAID - Redundant And Inexpensive Drives
Links HDDs together in many different ways for different situations. eg. RAID 0, striped, for speed and extended storage. RAID 1, mirrored, for HDD redundancy (not backup).

    RAM - Memory
The place in which data is temporarily held until the CPU uses it.

SATA - Serial Advanced Technology Attachment
The new standard for internal storage media, offering speeds of 1.5GBits (SATA 1) to 3Gbits (SATA 2)

    SD - Standard definition
SD card - Secure Digital memory card
    SPx - Service Pack [x = 1, 2, etc].
    SSD - Solid State Drive
A storage medium similar to a HDD, but utilising flash chips instead of a magnetic disk.

    TRUE - ThermalRight Ultra Extreme
UMPC - Ultra Mobile Personal Computer
    VGA - Video Graphics Array

With more members, there will be more members new to forums?

In which case I aplogise for trying to be helpful
