Default Panasonic Tz7 Any Good ?

Hi has anyone here had any experience with the Panasonic Tz7 camera,
I've been reading lots of reviews on it and it sounds like a decent camera, maybe not to for inside shot, but the zoom lense 25mm to 300mm is amazing range on a compact digi cam..

It records in 1280x720 res and the Optical zoom works on video, making it a useful mini camcorder as well.

Has anyone got anything to add ?

Here's some blurb in case anyone hasnt seen this camera..

Great camera in good light but sensor noise is very obvious in shadow areas with ASA settings over 400. With such a compact wide zoom system it will have a small effective lens aperture and a small sensor.

    Well I bought one..

The first few pictures I took, on Full Auto.

The one below it is the same shot but on full optical zoom

The zoom is really impressive, shame photobucket limits size to 1024*768 resolution

I am REALLY pleased with with my Panasonic Lumix - I have the FZ18, and its one of the best purchases I've made

I have had my Lumix TZ5 for a while now and I have always been so impressed with it. When we were in Turkey last year we went on the river Dalyan (where the Amazon Queen was shot) and saw from a boat the Lycean tombs. The boat was rocking quite a bit but I got a couple of photos that I was pleased with...

    Normal no zoom...

    full zoom...

the video taken with it is also very good. The only issue, similar to many cameras, is the low light / noise on some images.

I got one recently and its excellent. Easy to use with great features. There is a really good (but long) thread on AV Forums for this camera - go read that.
