    Default Tracking number to investigate

    AR225370 for order number EC1197274

Could someone please chase, I was in all day yesterday for the alleged failed delivery attempt, no card through the door. I've stayed in all day today as the tracking updated the scheduled delivery date to today, and nothing today so far either.

Could someone please chase and find out where my new toys are please, I have benchmarks to run before returning to work!!

It left Aria on the 24/12 according to records, perhaps got delayed in citylink hubs due to adverse weather?

    Hi there

The order was placed with Aria and even though it might be Citylink's failure we still need to look into it from our end as well and to help/support the customer.

I shall point the customer service guys in the direction of this so they can give it a look over.

EDIT - Beaten to it by Coiler

Spoken to the Manchester branch of CL and they say that it looks like its at your local branch and are unsure whats happening with it.
They are trying to contact your local branch for me and see whats going on but at the mo trying to ring CL is like trying to speak to someone from BT that knows what they are talking about.
We will keep trying tho and as soon as we know anything we will let you know.

thanks, I did wonder as the last time I got something from Citylink (also delayed) there was a status of out-for-delivery and I've not seen that on the tracking at all. Granted the Reading traffic has been awful the past couple of days though. I stayed in when the family went to town for the sales

Sounds like a typical city link delivery driver to me:-

"Oh its a residential address, midweek, bound to be no one home"

Drives off, without leaving a card.

Been there and watched them do it, stop outside my house and drove off before i got to the door, one irate phone call to there local depot to be told oh he probably wasn't delivering to your house and 10 mins later he comes back from the direction he drove off in, delivers my stuff and drives back off in the direction he came back from. Coincidence? Maybe but i doubt it.

That really is a turnaround from my pre-forum experience of customer service!!

I've had that before too, and they tried the "he probably wasnt delivering to you" line on me.. It was only when I told them that I lived in a cul-de-sac with 3 houses in it, and he actually drove into the dead end and stopped that they took me seriously

I've also lost other things to the Exeter depot of Citylink too - one of them being a rather expensive laptop!

I can't speak for pre-forum experiences, but the contract to deliver the goods is between myself and Aria, hence I asked Aria to chase when I could have called CityLink myself. Aria need to be aware of these issues, there are plenty of courier firms all touting for trade and contracts.

At the moment, no real information to assist me on plans for tomorrow. I don't fancy another wasted day sat in the house. Hopefully some news will appear in the morning.

Mate, ring your local depot. They'll ask for you address and from that confirm that they have your parcel or not. As a result you can move on from that.

    Good luck!

there are two 'local' Reading has two Citylink hubs and just finding out which one will take me the best part of half a day. I speak from being here before with an order from another supplier that uses CityLink, that time the SatNav the driver was using didn't recognise my office post code (it's the Reading UNI, it's not hard to find) so I put this one to deliver to home.

There are times when taking into own hands and destiny and all that, but to be brutally honest it's not my responsibilty to do so. It's the retailers. I'll let Aria CS do the legwork!!

Yea my City Link driver is awsome, always has a chat with me and asks how business is and stuff.

Since City Link is a franchise it just depends on how well each depo works etc...

Always found the Manchester & Wigan Depo to be a top noch service !
