    Default Hardware upgrade and questions about some products

    Hi all. Following my recent motherboard and processor failure (bought before knowing Aria at major but not reccomended PC chain) I need to exchange those devices. It would be the best to stay in budget of maximum 200 quid, however with the products I've written below is bit more I think
    So I was thinking mainboard: Asrock CONROEXFIRE-eSATA2 775 or Gigabyte 8I945PLGE-RH Socket 775. However I am not completely sure whether those new DDR2 slots will take my older 1x512MB and 1x256MB DDR PC3200 400Mhz. I also have HDD with older Serial Ata I (both motherboards have II).
    This is obviously for Pentium D 820 - I think good price and quality with advantage of Dual Core!
    Because my old graphics is a bit old and x8 AGP so would suit PCI-E x16 of Geforce 7300GT or 7600GS. They need to have 256MB and be 128bit. I found in Super Specials: nVidia Geforce7600GT 128bit and 256Mb DDR3 for 70 quid!, but I do not think it is wholly nVidia product as they rather only do processors for graphics. Anyway the price for it should be around 100, so is there a problem with it or is it such a good offer? If not this than maybe Gainward or Inno 3D?
    And I will also need better PSU (old 300 or 350W). Around 450-600W should be enough (1HDD, 3xPCI, 2xsystem fans, maybe I'll take one more) but still would prefer cheaper but good quality as well
    When I change all of those components than I will fully have Aria only products PC (except old case).
    Thanks in advance for responds.

    I have had a lot of problems with cheap and low power PSUs I would always recommend going for the best and more than 500W. I had a problem that whenever I tried to burn a DVD the computer would reset and it turned out to be a PSU near its limit on one of its lines. I put in a 600W one and have had no more problems

    I agree I didn't have problems to start with but I think it degraded over time and of course I had added another dvd writer another hdd or 2 and USB devices?? So what did I expect really.

    Thanks a lot for advice! Especially for that with DDR2, I did not know that. So I think I am finally getting to order:
    - Intel Pentium D 820 Dual Core - 70 punds;
    - Gigabyte 8I945PLGE-RH Socket 775 or Asrock CONROEXFIRE-eSATA, still not sure which - 57;
    - Gainward Bliss 7300GT - 70;
    - 600W Super Silent ATX Power Supply - 17 - I would prever Xilence 420W for 30 quid but might be not enough power, and this higher price;

    All of this with my 3xPCI cards, 2xfans(+1?), 2xDVDRW/CDRW, 1xHDD (sometimes 2nd as well), few USB devices.

    Any idea is this all compatible and that graphic card will get inside (req 2 slots?). Oh and that DDR3, would you recommend any, can I buy only one or it needs to be two? But please keep in mind that I am already over budget (214)

    Thanks a lot.

    Be warned cheap psu's are cheap for a reason, the 430watt Xilence maywell have extra saftey features or the \"cheap\" psu might be quoting MAX power not continuous power. You arent building a mega powerful system so i would go for the lower power more expensive branded psu rather than some cheapo generic pap.
