Default My RAM is holding me back :(

SO! I'm looking to buy some ram, but I'm not too sure on what to get, some of my pc specs are:

    AMD Radeon HD 6950
    Intel i5 processor
    '3gb RAM >:O'

Sooo yeah, at the moment I have 3 x 1 GB ram with 1 RAM slot free, they are 1333MHz a piece, and I want 2 x 4GB instead. Would I be able to use http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Compo...roductId=50688

I know I have to completely remove the previous RAM. But im not sure about if it will work, quite confused with ram, and the duel channel and that stuff.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Yes BUT...

edit - dual channel means they run at better speeds on 2 slots so put them in pairs on slots 1+3 or 2+4

real world uses you won't feel the change between 1600mhz and 1866mhz

Wow thanks for the speedy reply So you recommend I pre-order that?? When will they be in stock, and are the specs the exact same as the RAM I linked earlier?? Thanks

Ahh okay thanks. Will there be a noticeable difference when I go from 3GB 1333MHz to 8GB on 1600MHz?

1600mhz is more than adequate for gaming, video editing etc. Higher RAM is only noticable in benchmarking.

is the current best value RAM>

If I was building a PC today, I'd have the above linked RAM without doubt. You can pay a lot for a fancy heatsink, but this RAM is excellent value and doesn't look shabby.

Pretty much the same specs(you can probably overclock them a little if you wanted 1866mhz). They also won't have issues with some of the larger coolers like d14s and whatever that can hang over the ram.

Due thursday so if they ship same day then it should be with you friday.

    No you won't

The white thing on them is a heatsink.
