that would be a 40ft ideal scenario, walls would kill that quite quickly.

personally I'd get headphones + clip on mic but make sure the headphones have a removable cable then you can have a cable length tailored to that situation, providing you have a phone/ipod/whatever

is this worth £107 in anyone's opinion ive been looking at them now but after reading the comments above im unsure now
Only if you want the wireless or a good USB connection headset.

As a wireless headset the 2000s are excellent, that whine i refereed to really is barely noticeable, in fact if i didnt point it out to you youd probably never notice it. Its just noise from the sound codecs anyway, will likely be removed in a software patch at some point for those affected. Nothing to do with hardware.

As for the USB (and you dont care about wireless), if you can deal with 3.5 jacks then you can more than likely get better for the cash (if you have a dedicated soundcard, if not these will be better/similar due to the USB processing). If USB is a must like for me then get these immediately there is a HUGE gap in the market price wise from £70 ish to near £150 (im excluding headsets that were reviewed badly as this has 9/10 in most reviews). The lower end of the price gap is the next set down the 1500s, these are NOT the same headset, if you read into it the 2000 had upgraded drivers put in (1500 had **** bass), so the extra £30ish is worth it for the sound and wireless freedom. The more expensive sets might be better, but 1) i couldnt justify the prices 2) probably are that much better than these anyways.

General comments about this headset also; not at all heavy (slightly more than a wired headset) so you wont notice the difference, surprisingly good battery life (10 hours doesnt sound like a lot but it is), and very quick charging (even plug and play charging is fairly quick).

To answer your range comment for moving round, they are ok, but not that great, your ok to go 1 maybe 2 rooms in each direction, go the the other floor opposite side of the house though and it will cut

P.S. sorry if that was too long...i was bored

I also own the Vengeance 2000, great headset, love the lack of wires and the sound quality is pretty decent. Range is a bit of an issue though, if you have thick walls, forget being able to listen to music in the next room!

Totally agree wireless for headsets is terrible even for premium headsets you get nothing but problems.
