Default Legroom and no lack of sound quality !!!

With the issue of crackling on the Corsairs, RMA in process I couldn't be without speakers and I think without the wife and kids to kick in reality I overdid it .......

These beasts JUST fit on my desk behind my monitor setup as the bases on the monitor stands are quite large.

One set of Creative T40 Series II are my current Spotify output device

Been on all morning, the sound is nice, clear and crisp and with bass and treble controls tailored them to how I want them to sound. The bass is actually a little overwhelming yet it retains the high range, it lacks a little in mid as the bass ports tend to overpower the mid range, but that could also be the current placement behind the monitor screens.

So although I think the sp2200 just edges it in terms of sound and clarity of the bass, I should have brought these Creative speakers first!!!

Daniel, (youngest) has a set of Creative Inspire T10 and based on those I was happy to jump straight into the rather expensive T40 rather than the T20. I have desktop + laptop so twin inputs was an absolute must for me, and I'm pleased with the T40 in that on a lot of cheaper units when you place two sources into them, the volume of one source drops as they "share", I've not had evidence of that on the T40, turning one source off doesn't affect the output.

Yes, expensive, and large than I gave credit for in terms of footprint on the desk, but the removal of a subwoofer under the desk has made such a massive difference to my working from home setup. So much better and much more comfortable.

Buy the T20 from Aria here honestly, if they have the same levels of quality, build and feel as the Inspires Daniel has and the T40's I've treated myself to they are well worth it. I think the rest of the house will appreciate the lack of sub as well, with wooden floors the bass really did travel whatever spikes or feet I used.

    DT.

seems to be a trend then that Creative have got 2.0 speakers spot on - I'm amazed that I'm not missing the punch of the bass from the sub as it has truly been replaced with a much clearer pure sound, yet when I kick into Prodigy Spitfire the sound isn't missing anything, played CS:S and the grenades and snip rifles shots were just as "moving". At £90 they are a real investment, so I went retail so if I hated them they could go back easier than DSR.

These are staying, and now I am soon (RMA pending) to have a set of speakers spare

Bought a pair of T20s 4 years ago, were brilliant. My friend heard them and got a pair of the T40s which were most likely the first edition as it was probably 3-4 years ago which I was unhappy with. So I sold them to my brother but stepped away from Corsair, and went for the Acoustic Energy Aego M's, SO GOOD. I dislike people that say go Logitech, when the Corsair units for the price are brilliant although I'd go T20 or Aego Ms for the little bit more than the T40s

All speakers I buy seem to go up in price

I have the T40 S2 for my media centre pc in the living room (didn't want a sub or speakers all over the place)

they're really really nice speakers...people who hear them can't believe the noise they pump out
they don't lack Bass at all
