Ok guys,
I want to free up as much space as possible and I was surprised when I saw I haven't done anything about pagefile...
So should I delete it or move it to an external HDD?
And what is system volume information?

System Volume Information is where System Restore stores its data. Check (and reduce) the amount of space used by system restore
I have my pagefile set 1gb-2gb with only 4gb ram... never had an issue.
Why not just not have a page file on the SSD and just move it to a HDD?![]()

Heres a pic of windows.
Using that program spaceboy mentioned
winsxs is "special" and lies about the amount of space it's using... not much you can do about that folder afaik - and I have looked quite thoroughly![]()
I have my pagefile set to 400mb-1024gb, system restore off, set my temp files and users folder to goto HDD and have any spacious apps plus games installed on my a seperate HDD.
On my c:\ drive windows is reporting as being 20.7gb and i have 2gb or so used for Program files and Program files (x86) so In my computer then it says out of 55.7gb i have 32.5gb free.
*Edit* also remember to clear recycle bin as i got upto 34.4gb from 32.5gb after realizing i had some files still in the recycle bin.

Remember that DELETE doesn't actually delete until you empty the bin...... !

I turn the page file off completely, turn hibernate off, turn off System restore, after ALL that i got a fresh windows installation down to 8GB. Windows updates bump that up to 11GB. WHY U ALL GOT BIG INSTALLATIONS !

It does when you press Shift with Delete![]()
