Just thought I would check. But yeah, doesn't sound like a problem with the RAM itself now.

Sorry to bump and hijack the thread slightly but does anyone have any thoughts on this issue. My ram doesn't seem to work from a cold boot. I've tried under clocking, over volting but no luck. Is there something else interfering with my ram?

Something I haven't mentioned was that my cpu is connected via 4 pins from the psu to an 8 pin port on the mobo, I was under impression that it would be fine if I wasn't overclocking the cpu, which I'm not. The freezing dosn't happen when the psu is stressed or anything. I do have a 430W corsair builder series V2 with an 8 pin cpu connector that I haven't opened yet, which I preferably wouldn't unless it could be a problem. I just thought I'd make sure since I haven't got a clue anymore D:

Just as an update, there was a newer bios update recently that I updated a couple of weeks ago, there has been no problems since. Hopefully it is fixed now. Voltage is 1.5v and clock is 1333MHz but screw it, I'm not bothering to clock it to the usual 1600MHz just in case D:

Try with the new PSU. It could well be that the extra power from the 8 pin CPU power cable will provide enough "clean" power to keep it all running smooth.

It's still the same "power" being provided though. It could well be that the power supply isn't providing enough clean and stable continuous power.
