    Default Forum thread construction question

I have noticed there have been times when i wanted to hit the thanks button for a post, it's not there, usually it's missing completely, other times even after others have said thank you for the post, the button may not be visible to me

    for example ....

only thing i can think of is that the thanks button is time limited, and only available for a set period of days after the post is created..... can anyone shed any light on this ?

also, on the post dating thing, is there an option in our control panel that i am missing (i know it's there on some other boards) to adjust the posting date/time thing, so it actually tells me date and time of post, rather than the sort of useless posted 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week etc etc tags that i see currently

you have limited thanks per day, around 5-10 i think, once used up they refresh after 24hours

Also weve had many polls on the time/date thing and x minutes ago always wins.

I usually hit Whats news or Todays posts and the x minutes ago is great to know where i'm up to

Also I think there's an expiry date on posts as to when you can thanks them as for eg:

    http://forums.aria.co.uk/showthread....ow-Off-Your-PC

The beginning lot of posts you cannot thank whereas the ones near the end you can .

I really wish there was, but apparently its a forum wide setting only.. I'd much prefer an actual timestamp, but as Coiler says, we've done a few polls on this now, and people always vote for the current system..
