    Probably not what you want to hear but you could have knocked something when you changed the RAM. If both the mobo and GPU give no results either the monitor is dead, the cable is dead or something in your GPU isn't seated right. Have you tried plugging something else into the monitor rather than using a different one? Laptops often have a VGA output you could try.

    just a post to say its working now. i dunno why but i dont think pulling out my battery did the same as pressing the cmos button because the button is what sorted it
