    Default DBAN not working?

    Hello,

I am trying to remove everything on my hdd and restart from fresh so I can solve my GPU problem.

I've tried putting in windows 7 and I get an error.. I then tried DBAN and I get an error saying "the disks have not been found" plus press and hold the power button.

Any other programs I can use to reset everything?? Or a way to get around DBAN

Ubuntu Live OS, format the drive through that, delete the partition and create a new NTFS one?

Why do you need to format it?

It does it when installing windows.

as said just use the windows cd

never used a 3rd party program to format a drive

if thats giving you an error either the drive is on its way out OR the optical drive is having issues reading the CD

Unplug optical drives, card readers etc.

If you're not planning on selling it, I'd just reformat, personally.
