Thinking about picking up a new DAC

Posted on head-fi, figured there may be a couple people who know there stuff on this forum too!

Will be connecting via SPDIF from my onboard sound to the DAC.

Currently using an Asus D2X, thinking about upgrading to any of these:

- Schiit Bifrost
- Cambridge Audio DACMAGIC Plus
- Cambridge Audio DACMAGIC 100
- Little Dot DAC_1
- MA TubeMagic D2

Any opinions?

How do you pronounce the first one?

I don't have a DAC but I've heard good things about the Arcam rDAC (which might be another option to throw in there) - What Hi-Fi rates it highly too. Always had mixed views on Cambridge Audio stuff - my Phono pre-amp is pretty good but never been impressed by any of their amps, CD players or DVD players which might be down to the DACs. At the end of the day, it's a Richer Sounds own-brand.

Exactly as badly as you imagine!

As far as I'm aware Cambridge Audio is a large brand in its own right it's just that richer sounds is the only UK reseller.
