Webcams

I wondered if anyone could help me to get my webcam to work properly. My daughter lives abroad and and like me she has a webcam and uses Skype.

When she calls me (via Skype) I can see and hear her but she cannot see me on my webcam but she can hear me through Skype.

It's obviously something I've not done or done wrong but I have no idea what it could be. We have noticed that my name is shown on her Skype with a video next to my name whereas in my Skype her name has a telphone next it. Could this mean anything I wonder?

I bought my webcam through Aria and it's an Orite USB PC camera, the icon is shown as AMCap if that helps.

It may be something to do with selecting the correct video capture device within skype

There should be an option for webcam or video settings on the menu bar at the top of the skype page

Should have a kind of wizard to go through

Monkey, thanks very much for the info. I've been into Skype and checked it out. I couldn't find "enable Skype Video" to check it but everything else looked OK. It's a bit late for me to try it now as my daughter will be off line. I'll try it out in the morning. Many thanks.
