    Hmmmm im sceptical. It seems overkill just for headphones. It will probably cost more than the D2X which allows connection to home theatres via optical as well as most of those 3.5mm jacks (seriously why does thing have that many?!). I get the impression this is paving the way for a new ROG headset given the Vulcan ANC was a complete flop

    You do realize that headphones can quite easily be audiophile equipment?
    I'm currently sporting £320 Ultrasone PRO 2900s and a £200 headphone amplifier by Neco Soundlabs.

    the 6pin PCI-E power connector seems a bit overkil to me BUT if it isnt to expensive then i would buy it (once i have upgraded my speakers )
