    Default Windows Media center

    Hello

My friend is trying to buy a copy of Windows Media Center OEM for his PC to replace an illegitimate version of XP. However, he has been told that to install OEM software, he has to have/buy new components from you. However, he built the PC himself and i believe that if you have a custom built machine you are entitled to OEM software. Please could you enlighten me further!

As i recall, the OEM rules on hardware being brought with the OEM have been relaxed, as its a custom build, the OEM should cover it. The new versions have a vista upgrade that will cost approximatley £8 to get. Buy Pro, thats the only way to get any real benafit out of it.
