Well, any ideas when the next alpha build will be (*not* nightlies - like alpha 4)? A3 is shocking on my netbook, wireless and screen brightness issues, and it won't install!

Only a few weeks before the final version is due out so I wouldn't imagine there'll be too many more Alpha's/Beta's.

Not impressed with the current Alpha though, there's very little new or exciting features.

Well the bulk of the effort is going to be in getting the Unity interface ready in time I guess. I'll give that a try, but at present I'm not convinced that I'll want to use it over gnome.

I'll build a new flash drive for beta one - hopefully that'll be better than A3!

10.04 has worked better for me than 10.10 - I dont usually bother upgrading as soon as a new release has come out. Too much grief with drivers these days.

I think Unity looks pretty good, been following the developement, as soon as AMD buck up and support the new xorg i will no doubt upgrade.

I will be testing out Kubuntu again too.

Coming up to my 3-monthly format day soon, will give a beta a run. On my last format (couple of days after getting SB) I found out that 10.10's kernel wasn't compatible with SB, so couldn't do my usual SSD secure erase but I hear 11.04 now is compatible...
