You've put the wrong link in the closed thread mate. Thanks for doing this one though, looks plush.

Right, McLaren... I've been a fan for years, but hearing that Arai has resigned has left me feeling gutted. Not because he was any good, but because it means Honda have probably failed miserably to produce over the winter and he was left with no option after practice day one, but to resign. Gutted

I tried merging the two threads, and they ended up with the same thread title... And it also put all of the existing posts in chronological order, before the first post in the thread.. It all went horribly wrong..

Fact of the day: Alonso did more laps in his McLaren yesterday than he did throughout all of 2015.

to finish 1st, 1st you need to finish.

their (honda and mac) choice to not exploit the holes in the rules like fezza and haas did is what really cost them. honda could of don much testing before becoming part of the f1 family again but they choose not to.

now they have lost a year and we will see what gains the other 2 were able to make because of it.

if we strike brawn from the records, anybody know what the best a new team has done?

i don't see haas fighting at the back, but the back is the more interesting part of the grid for me right now with those teams getting boosted by new and upgraded engines.

part of me hopes fezza got good info from working with haas and it let them increase their dev over merc enough to call it racing this year.

yeah anything but a series of parade laps would make a refreshing change.

I really hope mclaren move forward a bit it pains me to watch those two drivers stuck at the back of the grid.

Last year i started putting the F1 on to take an afternoon nap it was that bad

F1 is like McDonald's at the moment.
I know I'm going to be disappointed. I know I used to enjoy it more.
But goddammit, I can't wait to try it again

The fact that McLaren only managed 8 laps more than Manor (who have virtaully built a new car from scratch) is very worrying. Mercedes managed 228 more laps than anyone else which is staggering. They didn't even do a lap on anything softer than medium either which is even more worrying for the rest of the field. Ferrarri are going to be close this year and I think they might grab a few victories but I still think it's a mercedes win at the moment.
