  • February 2013 Photography **56K Warning**

To encourage forum users to converse and share ideas and generally inject some community spirit we are holding a monthly photography theme to help get all you nice people use the creative side of your brain. Themes and advice can be discussed and shared here too. There will be no 'best photo' polls nor winners, its just all good fun for anyone who would like to get involved.

    Rules

    -Any camera will do!
    -Photos must be your own
-Post only your best shots so choose carefully!
-Post processing to enhance your images is fine but keep it tasteful...

    This months theme:

    Texture

    Tips:

    • get close to different surfaces and materials to capture different patterns
    • To make interesting compositions, consider how light and shows interact with different textures
    • you can find different textures inside and out
    • Have fun!!

Go have some fun! Hope your start to 2012 has been a good one! Like many I have had a fairly busy start hence my lack on entries though this one is easy peasy and very interesting! Good Luck!

Just one i took earlier waiting for the squirrel to come back into the garden.

Not texture-exclusive but there is the wooden windowsill, textile blinds and then a nice contrast with the coasters and candles, IMO.

I did try and bring the detail out a bit more but it proved difficult without introducing a shed load of noise.
Edit: Having everything in focus would have helped too i suppose.
