Good time to buy perhaps, reading they expect it to go back up with Christmas time. I have no idea how these big companies operate, but I've heard apple has enough money to buy them self on the stock market so I wouldn't be surprised if this was deliberate in some way..

You can't buy yourself on the stock market mate, it's illegal, but then again it is Apple were talking about here.

No not necessarily do it, but I've heard they have enough capital to do it which is quite impressive..

As the story at the end of the link says:

shareholders are also worried about recent hiccups in China's economy.
Hiccups? More like a total meltdown.

With forecasts of Apple's growth hanging on the expectation of massive sales in China, anything that hints at consumer problems there will hit Apple more than most. After all, most of the people in China who use anything from Microsoft don't pay for it. They just pirate.

                      stock market bubble burst.

everyone and their nan invest in China's stock market, so consumers won't be buying expensive phones anytime soon.

Problem Apple is facing currently, I think, is the lack of direction. They are copying Samsung on their iPhones, Microsoft on their upcoming 12 inch tablet, Samsung/Sony/Pebble on their smartwatch. They are no longer the market inventor (as in know what consumers what before they want it), they are now just following the flow. With no really new devices in the next few years, I'm not surprised at their growth worries.

So if you could afford to buy Apple then you would get back what you paid in cash anyway, making it free?
