Was either going to be Samsung or Apple that broke the 1000 mark.... I thought it would be Samsung...but I see Apple just stole all Samsung stuff and upped the price for the sheeple

I think I may leave this forum, it seems to be full of the village people.

Price is a bit ridiculous. But I really like the look of it. Can't afford it though and wouldn't spend that much on it even if I could

I've been able to upgrade my S6 for the last 4 months as i'm out of contract now but theres nothing wrong with it and it does everything I need it to do at the moment so theres no point in spending an extra 20-30 a month on a new contract with a newer phone.

I'm on the same deal with Vodafone but have a 80% staff discount applied

It only applies to Sim only deals though so if I upgraded to a phone contract, i'd lose the discount, hence the 20-30 increase in price I mentioned earlier.

I'm staying on SIM only these days, innovation in phones has slowed to the point where it's not worth upgrading every 2 years. If I see a good deal on a last gen phone being sold off somewhere then I might go for it, but beyond that I'm sticking with what I have until it breaks. Hopefully it won't because I love the Nexus 6 and I can't see any phone that could replace its features. Shout out to iPhone X for being a $1000 phone in 2017 with groundbreaking features such as OLED and Qi charging which my 2014 phone has

Rip off price, Apple treating it's customers like mugs.

My Nexus 5 lasted me 4 years. Only replaced it last month with a wileyfox swift 2x for 150.

I would still be using mine most likely had the battery not failed. I replaced it but nearly blew up the phone in the process, punctured the old battery trying to pry it away from the glue. Traded it into CeX for cash towards a Nexus 6, think I only paid like 100 for it. Now I much prefer the larger screen.

Did try and get to battery on SGS7 when it wouldn't reboot recently, glass back and glue = gave up after 15 mins, and found the hard restart key combo

Yeah, I stopped using mine because the battery was starting to get old. It still ran everything I could throw at it, no problem.

The 2x I have now is largely the same. CPU is a bit more powerful (8core instead of 4), 3gb RAM instead of 2 and 32Gb instead of 16gb and battery life is WAY better. For 150, if it lasts me 18months, I'm pretty happy.
