  • The value of BTC is still over $4000 so it's not affecting that, yet.

    • Recovery is on for BTC, BCH difficulty adjusted, so now global hash rate down to 36% from high of 45%, that 9% has switched back to BTC.

Reckon if they is an attempt to kill off BTC by pumping BCH price, it will happen after next difficulty change. Would be the best time do it, as next difficulty change is 2016 blocks away. Smart money says if it does, price could land somewhere between $1000 to $1500 ish, that would really put the squeeze on BTC.

        • Yeah, believe it was experiment whoever pushed BCH price up in Korea, see if loyal BTC miners would switch to BCH when it became profitable. Guess they have their answer. BCH down to 32% it's just too difficult with recent ramp, an price isn't there for profitability. Expecting price to tank on BCH, to drive everyone back to BTC? so difficulty on BTC is maintained for further 2016 blocks, then I expect BCH price to soar. Make all those miners who left for BTC come back and get the rest over, this vast amount of hash switch over will cause BTC problems finding blocks again and guess what, will be stuck like that for weeks if not months, if enough hash switches over.

          • looks like the hashrate has reduced a little more over night as my miner (4x GTX 980's) is now averaging 52MH/s where as it was more around 84MH/s originally

                  • BTC almost back to normal, so difficulty change is going be very small.

                        • It's wild at the moment. Watching the BTC price constantly sees it swing up or down by hundreds. It's pretty crazy.

I've got all of the cash in ETC and ETH at the moment. I'm waiting for the next big high to flog off and buy back lower.

                          • Saw you posted in the really old Doge-thread about ETH, got me looking through that old forum, and found this from just last year...

Back when you started ETH mining and were hyped it had reached $20 now it's consistently over $300 WOW such coin

                            • Watching BTC block times closely, seem's be something of mystery. Some blocks taking 30 minutes then all sudden 30 seconds to couple minutes for next. 10 minutes is the normal parameter.
