  • NHS lease scheme. So it's salary sacrifice.
It's a bit complicated because you then pay company car tax. And because it's electric thats a reduced rate.

Basically, it will cost roughly 450 a month, but that will result in a decreased take home of around 350.
And that includes insurance, tax and servicing/maintenance. So I'm happy enough

    • That's not too bad at all, especially as an 'all in' cost, including insurance.

I assume that fuel costs will be less in comparison too?

      • Should be. Commutes will be roughly 8p a mile (based on user reports) which is half what I'm paying now, but long distances will be slightly more.
80% of my miles should be at the better cost though.
I'm expecting to save 50 a month in fuel, but the electricity bill will go up by around 30

        • Well, to quote a well known supermarket, every little helps!

          Still ~250 a year!

          • Sounds a nice package for a beemer. I'm truly converted by lease deals now, will definitely be getting another Jeep once 3 years is up!

So much cheaper and less faff.

All importantly glad Whitney rolls again. I wonder was the rear wheel wobble gate meme, just your dodgy dropper post micro movement?

            • Nice one Cru pitty about not getting her in the boot though - same issue with mine

Sooo, lets get things moving again

Had a Cru faff getting Bronwyn in the three pointed star .....

              And unleashed at destination !

It was cold, but crisp and clear, great riding conditions

Riding up and through sheet ice was "interesting"!

              The views though !

                  • Great write up as always TB

                    1. Loving the bronwyn squeeze on the back seat. Cars are getting bigger (as I've discovered because nothing out there fits in my garage any more), but bike space in them isn't!
Manufacturers must be putting all their efforts into getting the obese population comfy, rather than getting our wheeled wives comfy. THIS HAS TO CHANGE!

                    2. People were in shorts.

                    3. The drop in!

                    4. I too, need more of the fitnessing

                    • Oooh, while I think about it. I'm doing me some holidays next week. Dominican republic.
I've already checked out the mountain biking tours.
I may be putting up a ride report soon

                      • Cheers Cru - lol, yes, 3 of the 4 of us had shorts on

I can't believe I need to dismantle Bronny to get her in the barge .....

Seriously thinking of selling the tow bar bike rack and getting roof bars / bike carriers

Enjoy your jollies, not jelly in the slightest ......

                          • Talking about retirement, had first proper ride in 6 months yesterday... quannys was looking very similar to conditions above with some icy puddles thrown in.
